Brown Sheep Nature Spun Worsted Yarn

Brown Sheep Company has spun yarn in Mitchell, Nebraska since 1980, and Lamb's Pride Worsted is the reason most knitters know the name: 85% wool and 15% mohair, a slight halo, and the fastest, most even felt of any yarn we stock. It is the standard for felted bags and slippers, and unfelted it makes warm, hard-wearing hats and mittens. Lamb's Pride Bulky is the same blend at twice the gauge.

The rest of the range is plain American wool at honest prices. Nature Spun is a smooth 100% wool worsted in a colour card of more than sixty shades, made for colourwork; Prairie Spun DK is its lighter sibling. Cotton Fleece puts 20% merino into a cotton DK so ribbing springs back — the summer sweater yarn that behaves like wool. Every Brown Sheep line comes to us in full colour, and we match dye lots on all of them.
