US 1 Knitting Needles

US 1 is the classic sock needle — most fingering-weight sock patterns are written for it, at eight or more stitches to the inch. The standard chart calls it 2.25 mm; addi's US 1 runs 2.5 mm, so go by the gauge, not the stamp.
