Wool-free Yarn

Every yarn on this page has no sheep's wool anywhere in its blend — not as the main fiber and not as the fifth that gives a sock yarn its bounce. Cotton, linen, bamboo and silk are the plant fibers and silk; alpaca, mohair and cashmere are animal hair without the lanolin and the coarse scales most wool reactions are to.

If animal hair itself is the problem, exclude Alpaca, Mohair and Cashmere in the fiber list as well and the page narrows to plant fibers and silk. Superwash wool is still wool and is not here.
