Elsebeth Lavold is the Swedish designer behind the Viking Knits books, and her yarns were built to show a cable. Silky Wool is the classic: a wool, silk and nylon DK with a dry, tweedy hand, crisp stitch definition and a colour card of muted heathers that has barely changed in twenty years. Hempathy is its summer counterpart, a hemp, cotton and modal blend that drapes cool and softens with washing. Both are among our best sellers year after year.
