DK / Sport Yarn

DK (double knitting) and sport weight sit between fingering and worsted: 5½–6 stitches to the inch on US 4–6 needles. It is the most versatile weight we stock — light enough for a year-round sweater, quick enough to finish one, and the usual choice for baby garments.

Cotton and linen DK is the summer-knitting weight; merino and merino-silk DK makes the softest cardigans. A 100 g skein holds roughly 250 yards.
