Circular Knitting Needles

A circular needle is two tips joined by a cable, and it knits flat as happily as in the round — most knitters use nothing else. The cable length matters: 16" for hats, 24–32" for sweaters and shawls, 40" and longer for blankets or for magic-loop socks.
