Juniper Moon Farm makes the yarns we sell most of, and it is easy to see why: each line is built around one good idea. Cumulus is a blown cotton — a fine nylon mesh filled with Mako cotton — so it weighs half what a worsted cotton usually does and knits into tees and summer cardigans that do not sag. Zooey is a rustic cotton-linen DK that softens with every wash. Herriot is 100% baby alpaca at a worsted gauge, the warmest thing on the shelf for its weight.

The farm's wool lines are worth knowing too. Moonshine Fine blends alpaca, wool, nylon and silk into a sock-and-shawl DK; Rambouillet is American-spun extrafine merino; Bluefaced Leicester has the lustre of the longwool it is named for.
