Iris Yarn by Juniper Moon Farm is luxurious blend of suri alpaca, mulberry silk and superfine wool. This worsted weight, super soft, and warm yet airy yarn is just pleasure to work with and wear. Available in beautiful self-striping colorways, Iris yarn knits up nicely into cozy and unique garments or accessories.

Juniper Moon Farm makes the yarns we sell most of, and it is easy to see why: each line is built around one good idea. Cumulus is a blown cotton — a fine nylon mesh filled with Mako cotton — so it weighs half what a worsted cotton usually does and knits into tees and summer cardigans that do not sag. Zooey is a rustic cotton-linen DK that softens with every wash. Herriot is 100% baby alpaca at a worsted gauge, the warmest thing on the shelf for its weight.
The farm's wool lines are worth knowing too. Moonshine Fine blends alpaca, wool, nylon and silk into a sock-and-shawl DK; Rambouillet is American-spun extrafine merino; Bluefaced Leicester has the lustre of the longwool it is named for.
