Viscose Yarn

Viscose is a regenerated cellulose fibre — rayon, often spun from bamboo pulp — and in a blend it lends drape, a cool hand and a soft sheen to wool and cotton. A merino-viscose sock yarn hangs and shines where a pure merino bounces.

It is heavier than wool and has no memory, so a viscose-rich garment grows in length. Blends keep the sheen and let the wool do the springing back.
