Rowan Knitting & Crochet Magazine Number 42 features a collection of over sixty designs incorporating three themes. Highlander, Reflection and Tundra. Highlander is inspired by the soft mid tone colours found in the Scottish Highlands in the autumn. A natural colour range from the earthy mixtures of Linchen, leaves and berries, combine to create a story which is traditionally inspired with a slight eccentric twist. Tundra is inspired by the icy wilderness of the Artic regions. The colour direction comes from the shades found in such austere and dramatic landscapes. These combine together to produce a palette of natural tones ranging from stone through to darker browns, and icy grey through to anthracite.
Reflection is inspired by the sleek, sharp, modern lines of contemporary architecture. All skill levels are catered for in the easy to read patterns and charts, and the regular features and articles provide plenty of reading material too.
